L^AT_EX users should download a template files and placed them in the common directory. The newsletter class file contains of the following packages:

• graphicx
• fontenc
• amsmath
• amssymb
• multicol
• setspace
• pslatex
• url

The use of an additional packages should be avoided but if necessary one could add some to preamble of the document (.tex file).

All figures are printed in grayscale. Therefore, you should produce them in grayscale. A transformation of colour pictures into grayscale ones could yield unwished effects. The preferred format for figures is eps (vector type of graphics). The preferred format for pictures (photos) is jpeg with minimum resolution of 300dpi and width of 8.5cm (1004 pixels width). Figures that contain many details can be printed over two columns so the width of the photo should be no less than 18cm (2126 pixels width).

To ease the preparation of the article the template (.tex file) is equiped with many environments that can be used, such as figure, table, equation, etc..
